Intercultural Skills Assessment and Individual Coaching WHY: The ability to shift perspective and adapt behavior when presented with human differences of all kinds in the workplace is a hallmark of intelligent, agile, and effective leadership. Human differences are omnipresent in our lives and is a key source of ideas and energy that bring positive changes. Without this ability to recognize human differences and shift perspective and behavior accordingly, all leaders are managing to an average or norm that is bound to squelch outlying greatness. With this ability, on the other hand, leaders can benefit from the richness of diverse viewpoints, attitudes, and ideas that are in their organizations. WHAT: Highrise Vista will administer the Intercultural Development Inventory, the only psychometrically valid assessment of the human ability to shift perspective and adapt behavior in differing group environments. The assessment takes about 20 minutes to complete and provides a snapshot in time for the learner of their level of development in the area of intercultural competence. After taking the assessment, learners will meet with Dr. Sarah Nodarse for one hour to review their confidential results. At the end of this coaching session, learners will receive their results report along with an Intercultural Development Plan tailored to their results. A second hour of coaching is scheduled 60 days post-assessment to check on progress and answer questions.
